Meet the Doctors
Dr. Betty Baugh Harrison
Dr. Betty Baugh Harrison is a native Richmonder, and has resided in the city most of her life. She received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology form the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before attending Veterinary school, she spent four years as a tennis professional, concentrating on coaching youngsters at the National level. She then switched careers and was accepted to the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Upon graduation, she did relief work in the Richmond area and felt there was a great need for a House-Call Veterinary practice.

After nine years as a sole House Call practitioner, “The Visiting Vet” , Dr. Harrison opened the doors to Betty Baugh’s Animal Clinic to provide clients with a hospital that could provide exceptional care and diagnostics for their pets and a warm, welcoming and caring environment for the clients themselves.

Dr. Amanda Wodehouse
Dr. Amanda Wodehouse was born and raised in Newbern, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in chemistry. She attended University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she moved to Jacksonville, Florida and joined a small animal practice.

Dr. Wodehouse just recently relocated to Richmond and joined Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic. In her spare time she enjoys running, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Wodehouse shares her home with her Great Dane and two cats.


Dr. Cresta Jones
Dr. Cresta Jones was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent time in North Carolina and Florida before graduating from high school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She attended Virginia Tech where she obtained a B.S. in Biology and then went on to the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine from which she graduated in 2001.

Dr. Jones and her husband lived in San Francisco, California where their first of two daughters was born. They then relocated to Richmond, Virginia to be closer to family. In her free time, Dr. Jones likes to read, go hiking and spend time with family. Dr. Jones joined Betty Baugh's in July of 2005.



Dr. Carrie O'Dair
Dr. Carrie O'Dair grew up in Columbus, Ohio and received her B.A. in Zoology from Miami University in 1990. She received her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to do an intensive one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA West, Los Angeles, California. At the end of her internship she was awarded "Intern of the Year."

For the next five years, she stayed in California and worked at a small animal clinic in Rancho Palos Verdes, California before heading back east to be closer to her family and friends. Dr. O’Dair has been with Betty Baugh’s Animal Clinic for six years and she and her husband are enjoying the arrival of their first child, born in September.
