Betty Baughs Animal Clinic
What We Do
Betty Baugh’s Animal Clinic is a progressive clinic that offers preventative care as well as advanced diagnostic tools and surgical services. Please read below for a summary of the services we offer, and contact us for more information!

Complementary & Alternative Veterinary Medicine
Veterinary Acupuncture Veterinary acupuncture is a healing science, which involves the examination and stimulation of specific points on the body of an animal with acupuncture needles. This technique aids in the diagnosis and treatment of many conditions and diseases in our pet population

Veterinary Botanical Medicine Veterinary botanical medicine is the use of plants and plant derivatives to treat specific conditions and diseases. In our practice we utilize Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic herbs. The use of plants to treat physical problems and ailments has been found to date back almost five thousand years.

Advanced Diagnostics
Ultrasonography & Echocardiography: The noninvasive state of the art technology using sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the abdominal organs and heart.

Endoscopy: A diagnostic tool that allows the Veterinarian to look inside the body (stomach, esophagus, colon, throat, etc). This is a tool that is minimally invasive resulting in a quicker recovery.

Laboratory Services:
Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic has a complete in-house laboratory where blood counts, fecal parasite checks, chemistry profiles, urinalysis and other serology procedures are routinely performed. Commercial and University laboratories are also utilized for specialized diagnostics.

Anesthesia
Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic uses only the highest quality anesthetics available to provide an extra margin of safety. Any animal that goes under general anesthesia is subject to a physical exam as well as blood work to ensure minimal risks. The patients are monitored (heart and respiratory rates, body temperature and oxygen level) from the moment that anesthesia is administered by a Licensed Veterinary Technician until that animal recovers from the procedure.

Blood Transfusion
In the event of an emergency, if a patient needs a blood transfusion, Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic is equipped and able to provide this service. We also welcome volunteer blood donors; please call for more information if you are interested.

Boarding
We do provide boarding for our patients on a limited basis. Please call the clinic for details.

Dental Care
Good dental care is an important element of your pet's overall health. Betty Baugh's offers a complete line of preventative products to promote healthy gums and teeth. Dental cleanings, polishing and extractions are also offered.

Geriatric Care
Pets need more frequent attention as they get older to prevent and treat illnesses associated with aging. Betty Baugh's will offer the best protocols to suit you and your pet so you can enjoy those golden years together.

Immunizations
Puppies and kittens are very vulnerable to the world in their early months; we offer a full line of puppy and kitten shots. An exam fee for the puppy or kitten series is charged upon the initial visit only. We also offer plenty of information and tips on caring for that new puppy or kitten.

Microchipping
Microchips are a permanent identification for your pet. A small chip the size of a grain of rice is implanted in the similar manner of administering a vaccine. The chip contains information about your pet and can be read with the use of a special scanner. (Most shelters and veterinary hospitals carry these scanners now.) You will register this information with a national database. Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic carries HomeAgain Microchips.

Nutrition
A good diet is essential for your pet in all stages of his or her life. Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic will gladly assist in determining the right diet for your pet. For your convenience, we carry a large assortment of high quality foods.

Pain Management
Aside from the obvious humane reasons, a pet that is in pain takes longer to heal. Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic insists on the most comprehensive pain management possible.

Wellness Exams
One of the easiest and most effective way to keep you pet healthy and happy is preventive care. A complete annual physical exam is essential to great pet care. Betty Baugh's Animal Clinic treats each patient as an individual and will recommend the best possible protocol for you and your pet.

Surgical Services
All our patients are examined and screened prior to surgery, and the anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services include routine spays and neuters, soft tissue, exploratory and orthopedic.
